Empowering Innovation: Product Design and Building Design Team Specialist

Leading and Building a diverse and Inclusive design team

As head of design at BUX, I have been end-responsible for numerous products, from paper sketches — to products and redesigns.

To name a few: Two trading apps, BUX Zero and Stryk. A supporting trading web application. A web onboarding flow that made it easier to onboard users via affiliate marketing. The corporate websites + the users support centre. And what our customers don't see despite the significant importance of the tool. The customer support dashboard 'called Bob' for all related questions about buys and sell or any other disorders during trading hours.

All these products need a good user experience to maintain a seamless ecosystem and an overall look and feel. To back up these words, I made an overview for you so you get a better grasp of the work I and the team have created over the last nine years.

PS. Look out for Trixy 🦖 she indicates a before and after slider, which reveals a part of the design process. Enjoy!

Redesign X

From day one, I have talked with our users from our CFD app. The outcome of the gathered feedback is that the app felt game-like. And for beginners. For us, a challenge, and it took us some time to make the tough decision to revamp the app and swap the almost famous colourful interface for a single tone. I started with performance marketing research on user impact. And I started with a dedicated Product designer proposal with primary goals, maturity, user accessibility and competitor contrast. Check out this Medium article from Paulo Batos for more details about the design process.

Supporting WebApp

Product & Design research revealed our clients' apparent demand for a web app. Reason enough to create a dedicated team to build it from scratch. The product designer has played a central role, bringing it with the PO from zero to the market. (the web app is currently offline due to a business decision). However, the dedicated Product designer has written his process, which is an excellent read on Medium.
